Chas Betts

Charles Edward Betts (born March 8, 1986) is an American professional wrestler and former amateur wrestler. He is signed to WWE, where he performs under the ring name Chad Gable and is a one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, one-time WWE Speed Champion (as El Grande Americano), two-time Raw Tag Team Champion, one-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion and a one-time NXT Tag Team Champion.

In 2025, Betts began wrestling as a luchador under the ring name El Grande Americano. While he was out on injury, the persona was taken on by another wrestler. Gable returned as 'The Original El Grande Americano' in the 2026 Royal Rumble and met his impostor face to face which ignited a feud that lead to Gable being unmasked in a fan favourite match at AAA Noche de Los Grandes.

As an amateur wrestler, Betts was a 2004 Minnesota high school state champion and went on to compete at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
